Synopsis

Boggis, Bunce and Bean
One fat, one short, one lean
These horrible crooks
So different in looks
Were nonetheless equally mean

 Roald Dahl's stories are adored by young readers worldwide and Fantastic Mr. Fox must be one of his best-loved characters. Adapted for the stage by David Wood, the UK’s National Children's Dramatist, this show promises to be a rip-roaring tale of wit and determination. Catch Fantastic Mr Fox live on stage before it hits the big screen this year-end in the Wes Anderson movie of the same name. Nothing beats the magic of live theatre!   

Boggis, Bunce and Bean are three greedy, loathsome farmers out to make life miserable for Mr Fox, his family and their animal friends. The farmer trio devise devious plans to drive the animals away - they hunt them, they bring in their shovels and dogs and big machines to dig them out, they camp out for days on end at the foxhole hoping to starve them out – terrible things! What can Mr Fox do? The fate of the animal folk are in his cunning hands and it’s up to him to outsmart them with some “digga-digga-dig” antics.

Highlights of the Show

§         Fantastic Mr. Fox was adapted for the stage by David Wood, UK’s National Children’s Dramatist, and was a sold-out hit during its Europe run.

§         Fantastic Mr. Fox incorporates a great message, strong visuals, inventive storytelling, catchy songs, exciting choral work, creative staging and wonderful feel-good moments.

§         Fantastic Mr. Fox is a play with strong educational value. It:

o        Explores problem solving and thinking out of the box.

o        Introduces the idea of community and team work.

o        Teaches self belief, perseverance, determination and never giving up in the face of difficulty.

§         Question & Answer Session. All our shows have a post-show Q&A session that helps young audience members consolidate their thoughts of the show, clarify any questions they might have on who, how, why and to ask the actors any questions about themselves
or how theatre is made.
